We Are...

Author's Note: I originally wrote this for my tenth grade Honors English class but I really love it as, to me, it became more than just a poem for school. I was trying to convey two sides (as at the time we were reading Jekyll and Hyde): good and evil. But it's about going beyond those plain words and really emphasizing the secrets behind it. There's the ABCABC stanza format and I'm pretty sure there's ten stanzas. Enjoy! 

We are the fallen
We are the cursed
We are the damned

We are the light
We are the gifted
We are the blessed

We are the one's who create pain
We are the one's who torture
We are the one's who rebel

We are the one's who deserve mercy
We are the one's who save
We are the one's who keep the peace

We are hellish
We are foul
We are shattered

We are holy
We are taintless
We are innocent

We doubt
We scare
We deny

We hope
We dream
We believe

We cry
We scream
We destroy

We smile
We laugh
We create
