In the winter winds
ReplyDeleteA sparrow surged in silence
and pooped white egg yolk.
Foolish endeavors
ReplyDeleteHopeless journeys into dark
Childhood fantasy
Time soon filtered through
DeleteChildren became seasoned men
Dark became darker
Suspenseful silence
ReplyDeleteA siren distantly blares
Ashes fall like snow
You guys need to post
ReplyDeleteThis is pathetic, come on!
More posts, or no fun
Don't get on their nerves.
DeleteHaiku's can be difficult.
Perhaps they aren't skilled.
A green tidal wave
ReplyDeleteLashed back in upon itself,
Splashing as it came.
Thrashing and churning
DeleteThe green surge swelled in its hate,
Leaving love behind.
A mist rose and fell
DeleteLifting green into light pink
Swaying and dancing
Fear rose to a peak,
DeleteThe shadows loomed in silence.
Darkness flashes green
Suddenly swimming
DeleteA horse carried the darkness
Choking on water
In colder waters
DeleteThe minnow flows in pure peace
Searching for answers.
ReplyDeleteThis is serious
A case of haiku wars that
Shall end in the grave
This too is sincere:
DeleteHaiku wars that end in death
Were fought by wusses
If not felled by death
DeleteShall haiku wars continue
For eternity?
While words still exist
DeleteSo will the foolish wielders
Spewing words of hate
Do not dismiss hate
DeleteFor it can fuel actions
That change the world
Gasping and crying
ReplyDeleteSuffocating from failure
And slowly dying
Let it snow, not rain
DeleteThe fire is slowly dying
But there is joy still
Let the flurries fall
DeleteSo beautiful they grace Earth
Spreading Christmas cheer
The Christmas tree falls
DeleteEngulfed in fire, tongues of flame
Sam's presents are ash
And from the ashes
DeleteA bit of charred ribbon flew,
Detached from its gift
The wrapping paper
DeletePainted with reindeer and trees
Has withered away
We wish for it to
DeleteReappear into thin air
But none can be done
Foolish endeavor

Liam, check again.
DeleteLine two has eight syllables.
It's good, nonetheless!
Child has one vowel...
DeleteHow is it two syllables??
I don't really care.
I don't write haikus;
ReplyDeleteAt least not very often;
See? It really shows!
Christian, it's not hard
DeleteJust write some nonsense and make -
sure it's this format!
